About Alexa Deck
Alexa Deck has been a Board Certified Physician Assistant since 2019. She received her Bachelor’s degree graduating Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University and Master of Physician Assistant from Augusta University. She completed 1 year in internal medicine prior to beginning her work in dermatology. This experience provided Alexa with the ability to help her patients better manage their dermatology conditions as well as educate them about the role they play in their treatment.
Alexa is a licensed Georgia Physician Assistant and is an active member of the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants attending monthly meetings to stay up to date with emerging dermatology treatments. Additionally, she is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and recently completed the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Program.
Alexa’s interests include general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has experience treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions in adult patients and previously worked alongside a Mohs surgeon.
In her free time, Alexa enjoys spending time with her husband (Sam), German Shorthaired Pointer pup (Milly), family and friends, traveling, cooking, and exercising.

Once I booked this appointment, I was contacted via texts (I opted into this) any time an appointment opened up sooner than my scheduled appointment. Just in case I wanted to move my own appointment up and be seen sooner. I thought that was really cool! The building was easy to find, parking was a breeze, and the location within the building had easy directions as well. Once in the waiting room, the staff were helpful and kind, got me everything I needed to get checked in and headed back to a room quickly. If anything, I took a bit long to find all the insurance info (I thought I had already pulled up smh), and that was the longest delay. The nurse was super friendly and got me settled in a room & asked basic questions re: why I came in and what kind of care I was seeking. The appointment altogether was super easy, everyone involved was kind, great bedside manner, everything was explained as we went along. I'll be going back!

Alexa’s assistant was pleasant, listened to my concerns and helpful as well (sorry, I forgot her name). Alexa, the PA, was so nice and helpful. She listened to all my concerns and addressed each with a solution. She was the most thorough I’ve dealt with (I’ve been to other dermatology practices and didn’t care for any). I was very pleased with her professionalism, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend her.

The front desk girls were nice. However, there was confusion as to whether my insurance was accepted or not. I would expect the insurance would be verified prior to my appt. Luckily it did not delay the appt because I was there earlier. Alexa was great, would definitely recommend.
