Getting to know Alexander Adu

Clients often tell me they feel truly heard, supported, and understood in our sessions. I strive to create a safe, blame-free space where you can explore your goals, ask questions, and feel comfortable being yourself. If you are ready for care that is collaborative, empowering, and culturally attuned, I welcome you to connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I know how heavy life can feel when you’re carrying pain, uncertainty, or self-doubt. But I believe, as a wise old wizard once said, “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of places, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” My role is to help you find that light again. I work with Gen Z and Millennial adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and more. Through integrative, culturally responsive care, I combine evidence-based psychiatry with holistic strategies to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a life that aligns with your true self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our initial appointment we get to meet and know each other. We ask questions that help us understand your personal, family, relationship, medical, mental health journey. Your answers will guide us to collaboratively formulate your treatment plan. I communicate in ways that make you feel heard, seen, respected, and understood. I anticipate you will not always agree with the plan and it is ok. This will open conversations to tailor your treatment plan to fit your preferences and values.
