About Dr. Alexander Malek
Dr. Malek attended Touro University as an undergraduate with a focus on biology and earned a Master's in Public Health from George Washington University. He graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine with a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and completed a residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, which included rotations at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center and NYP Columbia Medical Center. Throughout his residency, Dr. Malek received comprehensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle medicine and surgery, including elective and reconstructive surgery, trauma, sports medicine, advanced limb salvage techniques, and wound care. When Dr. Malek isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He looks forward to meeting you and treating you and your family for any foot and ankle needs.

Good experience. Friendly staff. Cindy was nice and welcoming. Leticia was friendly, good listener, and was really good with the intern she had with her, who was also friendly. She even noticed my fustration (got lost) and tried to lighten the mood. Dr. Malek was kind, informative, and easy to talk to. I would recommend this office, if you are a little skeptical about going to see a foot doctor, like I have been for 5 years.

Dr Malek was very nice. He listened to what i had to say, he was not. Dismissive like some doctors can be. He didn't rush me out the door. He made sure that I understood what he was instructing me in terms of wearing the suggested soft brace, taking the prescribed medication and it's side effects and even the referral to another doctor for a potential issue that he detected.

Dr Malek did a through job reviewing the situation, listening to my concerns and observations. Provided me with exercises and other suggestions to alleviate the issue. He was VERY easy to talk to and understand. Rarely have I encountered a physician who talks to you as a person versus the next "case" demeanor. Friendly, like sitting with your buddy. Yet professional, as you would expect, from a competent doctor.

Dr Malek was great!! Today was my first time seeing Dr Malek and I was very glad I choose him He was very pleasant, personable and professional. He explained everything in detail and was very thorough. I would highly recommend him to anyone having foot issues.
