“Verification of my insurance coverage took close to an hour after I arrived at the facility even though I had already uploaded my insurance card on zocdoc for their review. After that it was quick to see the doctor. However, the doctor did not tell me what he was prescribing me and how to use it. Alexander Marinbakh, MD, DO, PhD, brings over 45 years of clinical experience in general urology, urologic oncology, prostate cancer, radiation oncology, diagnostic radiology, BPH, nephrolithiasis, impotence, infertility, and microsurgery.
Born into a renowned urological oncologist's family, Dr. Marinbakh earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Second Moscow Medical School. Afterward, he conducted pioneering research in UroRadiology, including Russia's first Ultrasound Study in 1975, laying the groundwork for his future PhD. For 15 years, he honed his skills as Surgeon-in-Chief and Assistant Professor of Urology and Microsurgery at the Central Moscow Institute of Postgraduate Education. With over three decades of practice at esteemed institutions like Beth Israel Hospital and Mount Sinai Health System, he's established himself as a trusted urological surgeon. Prior to NY Health, he ran a successful private practice at Advanced Surgical Urology.
