*After booking, you will receive a link via Canvas to set up your patient portal. Setting up your patient portal is required to complete your appointment.* My approach is warm, collaborative, and responsive. I help patients make sense of things through thoughtful perspective and individualized treatment, while recognizing that healing is deeply personal. The goal is to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward greater understanding, stronger self-trust, and meaningful growth. Two experiences were particularly formative. Working as a registered nurse on a labor and delivery unit taught me the power of presence during vulnerable moments. People remember more than the care itself. They remember how they felt with you, how safe they were, and whether they were truly supported. Later, working with individuals participating in studies related to treatment-resistant conditions, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression reinforced my belief that warmth, conversation, and genuine connection carry real therapeutic value. I’ve worked with children in psychiatric emergency settings, adolescents, seniors in inpatient units, veterans, LGBTQ+ patients, individuals on the autism spectrum, and adults navigating trauma, mood disorders, grief, identity challenges, and personality-related struggles, including borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, narcissistic traits, and PTSD. These experiences strengthened my ability to remain grounded across diverse presentations while teaching me that consistency builds the safety that allows patients, especially younger ones, to open up.

What should a new client know about working with you?

A colleague once told me that I help people feel seen and heard, and that meant a lot because it described what I strive for. I'm drawn to work that calls for depth, emotional nuance, and a strong therapeutic relationship, and I connect well with those trying to make sense of their deeper roots. I believe in allowing care to flow naturally; I'm not interested in forcing anyone into a formula. In my own life, I've always been pulled to growth, learning, leadership, and making meaning out of complex experiences. I care deeply about helping people understand what's happening within and how to move forward with awareness and direction. I also love the teaching side of care, organizing what feels chaotic, creating movement when stuck, and bringing stability to confusing or overwhelming experiences. At the end of the day, I want patients to feel understood, grounded, and supported enough to be honest, while being challenged in ways that lead to change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I draw from Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and existential humanistic perspectives, looking beneath symptoms to focus on protective patterns, relational dynamics, and the fuller story of a person. I also incorporate Motivational Interviewing and CBT when behavior change or skill building is needed. Above all, I stay flexible. Some instances call for structure; others a more organic pace.
