Dr. Alexandra M. Andes was born in Livingston, NJ, and raised in Indialantic, FL. After graduating from Melbourne High School, she attended the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Micro and Molecular Biology in 2004. Dr. Andes then enrolled at Barry University School of Graduate Sciences and earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree in 2008. She completed her three-year podiatric surgical residency training at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL.
Dr. Andes lives in Davie, FL, with her husband, Dr. Nathan Vela, and their two dogs, Roxy and Logan. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

This is the best Doctor experience I’ve ever had in my life. Doctor Andres and her whole staff not only took X-rays of my swollen ankle, diagnosed my problem but also took care of my toenail problem. I was in and out in no time. I would recommend anyone with a foot, ankle or toe problem to not hesitate to be treated by her.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Andes for my foot concerns. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge in her field and provided clear, thorough explanations about my condition and treatment options. When we discussed cheilectomy surgery, Dr. Andes took the time to set realistic expectations and walked me through the entire process.
What impressed me most was her bedside manner - she was genuinely caring and made me feel comfortable throughout the consultation. Dr. Andes patiently addressed all of my concerns and questions, never making me feel rushed or dismissed. Her combination of medical expertise and compassionate care made what could have been a stressful appointment much more manageable.
I would highly recommend Dr. Andes to anyone seeking podiatric care. She's clearly dedicated to her patients' wellbeing and takes the time to ensure you fully understand your treatment options.

Most pleasant first experience ever. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I was sold on Dr Andes the minute she entered to room. Very informative and all of the staff had smiles, like they really like their job. Need more of that in the medical field. Would absolutely recommend this office to anyone. The staff asked the right questions and listened to everything I said. The nurse Nikki was exceptional. Greeted me with a smile and took me to get x-rays quite quickly. Test results came in one minute. Dr. Andes came in the room right after I was seated ready for her to discuss the issues. She allowed me to take notes and took her time to speak. She gave me all of my options and asked which do I prefer. She explained the issues in full detail and that allowed me to make the best decision for myself. I would recommend her to anyone!

I found Dr. Andes through Zocdoc for an urgent appointment to address an injury. Other podiatrists I contacted did not have availability for 2-3 weeks. She had one appointment available and I was able to book and confirm via Zocdoc. The office called later to confirm. I was seen promptly and Dr. Andes and her staff were great. She was a great listener and discussed options for treatment before we proceeded. I would high recommend her.

A much better experience than I was expecting! This was my first visit to a DPM and I didn’t know what to expect. Front desk staff was lovely, the assistant that brought me back was very nice and Dr Andes was adept (meaning it didn’t hurt too much), knowledgeable and very friendly.
