Alexandra attended Stony Brook University-School of Medicine in Long Island New York where she completed her dietetic internship. Alex worked at The Renfrew Center in Philadelphia for 2+ years. There, she helped clients work towards food freedom and overall-well being through a non-diet approach. Her passion is helping individuals of all ages heal their relationship with food and their bodies, in addition to taking a non-diet approach towards overall nutrition. Alex values a “down-to-earth” style approach with her clients to help them find self-motivation and set realistic and attainable nutrition goals. “I had always been interested in health and nutrition and was passionate about helping others. I saw becoming a dietitian as a great way to incorporate both of those things! Growing up in an environment littered with diet culture, I saw many friends and family members struggle with their own relationship with food. In addition, I fell into diet culture myself when I was younger. The reason I chose this career path was so I could merge nutrition and counseling in a way that I could use evidence-based knowledge to help others improve their relationship with food and overall well-being. I want individuals to learn that food can be fun and enjoyable!” How does Alex stay healthy? Alex stays healthy by honoring her body’s cravings through intuitive eating and incorporating mindful and enjoyable movement. She enjoys eating ice cream no matter what season and loves participating in group fitness classes at her local gym in West Chester. Alex believes that staying healthy is important. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. When Alex is not working, she enjoys hiking, bike riding, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more!
