I had a great experience with Dr Alexandra Smalls - rheumatologist. She is an excellent listener who takes the time to really understand what you’re saying, without rushing or interrupting. She clearly knows what she’s doing and explains things in a way that makes you feel informed and confident about your care. I felt heard, respected, and taken seriously throughout the visit. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines strong expertise with genuine attentiveness, and she does exactly that. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful and competent care.
Verified patient
Dr. Small is amazing and was able to get the ball rolling immediately after having been considered a medical anomaly around the country for 20+ years. I highly recommend, as long as you don't try to steal my appointment times! Haha
Dr. Small and her nurse was a gem. Listened patiently, great understanding of my symptoms and a guided plan of next steps was clearly laid out.
Verified patient
Excellent doctor - very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain her thinking. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Dr Smalls was very supportive, thorough, and listened patiently to all my symptoms(theres a lot). I have a lot of anxiety at the doctor due to a history of being dismissed and she made it clear that that is not the case with her. She made me feel very comfortable. The staff was also very kind, when I mentioned I hadn’t eaten in a while the nurse immediately offered a protein bar so I don’t pass out during my blood test, and when I said I’m gluten free she gave me her own apple from her lunch and some chocolates. They really went above and beyond here I couldn’t recommend it more!
I absolutely love my experience with all of the staff that I was in communication with at the doctor's office. I highly recommend Dr. Alexandra Small. I am so excited to have her as my RA doctor.
Verified patient
Dr. Small was so patient and kind. She took the time to listen to my concerns and to validate my pain. If you are a woman in your early 50s, not everything is pre-menopause related. She has a complex puzzle to figure out and I have all the faith that she will be able to help. I’m so glad I found her.
Verified patient
Dr. Katz Small was so kind, patient, and thorough. It was my first visit with her and I am looking forward to going back after my bloodwork results come in! She explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. I’d give 10 stars if I could!
Verified patient
Dr. Small was amazing on my first visit. She listened to my concerns and did a physical exam. She was the first doctor to connect the dots on an underlying autoimmune condition that had been ignored by my past doctors. She ordered blood tests and I got the results the following week. It was tough news to absorb but she was kind and thoughtful when going over the results. She checked in multiple times during the visit to see how I was doing emotionally. I will continue to see her for my condition and I feel grateful to have her on my medical team. If you need to see a rheumatologist, she has my highest recommendation.
Verified patient
She was extremely thorough, listened carefully and attentively, was kind and validating, and ordered a thorough lab work up to address all my concerns. she wasn't triggered happy with prescribing medication or things without doing her due diligence and I think that is so valuable in this day and age with doctors jumping to prescribe meds etc. she was kind and friendly and also tried to connect with me/ built rapport and made me feel at ease. She was a great provider and the best rheumatologist I've seen and even the office was really really nice and in the rush hospital professional building. the receptionists and other staff were friendly and thorough and I was able to get bloodwork in the office itself without having to go anywhere else! i had a great appointment overall and am so glad I chose to see her and was able to have that experience! I will 100% be going back for a follow-up and any other rheumatology related concerns I have in the future!
Verified patient
My experience was very positive. Wait time was very short. Staff and doctor were very attentive and seemed to genuinely want to help.
Verified patient
The Dr A Small was friendly and empathetic. Offered to contact my referral MD and be available in the event I had any concerns. Staff were super helpful and welcoming.
Verified patient
It was only a consultation, but I truly had a wonderful experience. The only thing I can think of is listing the suite # on zoc doc and google. Which I can’t remember… but it’s in the rush medical building, elevator 3, floor 3, hang a right and it’s down the long hallway on your left.
