“I can’t say enough good things about her. For years I felt like no one really taking me seriously when I tried to explain my struggles and I could never get answers about what was going on. Alexandria took the time to really hear me, and she diagnosed my adult ADHD without making me feel judged or dismissed. That diagnosis has completely changed my life. I finally have clarity and a plan that works. She’s down to earth and genuinely cares about her patients. I’m so thankful I found her.”

Getting to know Alexandria Brown

I'm a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing telehealth services throughout Illinois. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, binge eating disorder, insomnia, and other mental health concerns across the lifespan. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, adult and childhood ADHD assessments, ESA evaluations when clinically appropriate, and documentation for school accommodations, including 504 Plan recommendations when medically appropriate. My goal is to make high-quality mental health care accessible, practical, and personalized. Same-day appointments are often available upon request.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You deserve to feel heard, respected, and supported. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and free of judgment. Whether you're struggling with focus, anxiety, depression, mood instability, sleep concerns, or life stressors, we'll work together to create a plan that fits your needs and goals. Many patients seek my care for ADHD evaluations and treatment. I work with both children and adults and can provide clinical documentation and recommendations for school accommodations, including 504 Plans, when medically appropriate. I take time to explain options clearly, answer questions, and ensure you feel comfortable with your treatment plan. If you're looking for a provider who listens, responds promptly, and focuses on meaningful results, you're in the right place.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first appointment is focused on understanding the full picture, your symptoms, history, concerns, strengths, and goals. Together we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or additional assessments. For patients seeking ADHD evaluation, I offer comprehensive assessments for both children and adults. When clinically appropriate, I can provide recommendations and supporting documentation for school accommodations, including 504 Plans, college accommodations, and other academic support services. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and helping you achieve meaningful improvements in daily functioning, relationships, work, school, and overall well-being. I believe mental health care should be accessible and responsive. Same-day appointments are often available upon request because getting help shouldn't require waiting weeks when support is needed now.
