Alexandria Guerrero, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
Hi, I'm Alexandria - a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. I specialize in deep feelers, overthinkers, and anyone navigating big emotions, complex thoughts, or challenges in their inner world. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and psychosis. In our work together, you'll learn effective coping strategies and have a space where you can bring the heavy stuff, the weird thoughts, and everything in between. Just real talk, real progress, and maybe a few laughs along the way. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and focused on the messy, meaningful work of being human.

What should a new client know about working with you?

With an integrative, client-centered approach, I blend DBT, CBT, and Narrative Therapy to help clients manage emotions, reframe thoughts, and reshape personal narratives for growth. I balance structure with flexibility, mixing creativity, humor, and open-mindedness to make therapy meaningful, engaging, and fun. After all, therapy doesn’t have to be a snooze. What makes my practice unique is mixing practical, effective techniques with a relaxed, down-to-earth style. Therapy should feel like talking to someone who gets you and knows how to help you create lasting change. I create a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and empowered to grow. I’d love to help you move forward with confidence and a few laughs

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy sessions can feel a bit like cleaning out a closet—you might uncover things you forgot about, realize what you’re ready to let go of, and maybe even find a few gems. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and what life’s been throwing your way (because let’s be honest, sometimes it throws a lot). I’ll ask some questions to get a sense of your story, but no need to unpack the whole suitcase right away—we can take it one item at a time. You’re welcome to ask me anything, too. This is a space for honesty, curiosity, and probably a little laughter along the way. My goal? To help you feel heard, supported, and maybe even a little lighter by the end.
