If you are struggling with anxiety, difficulty focusing, ADHD symptoms, depression, poor sleep, mood changes, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I provide psychiatric care designed to help you better understand what is happening and determine the next steps.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of SteadyMind Psychiatry. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults throughout Florida through secure telehealth appointments. Care is available in both English and Spanish.
I commonly work with adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related symptoms. I also welcome patients who are unsure of their diagnosis and want a thorough psychiatric evaluation to better understand their symptoms.
My approach is collaborative and individualized. I take time to understand your symptoms, medical history, previous treatment experiences, daily responsibilities, and treatment goals before recommending a plan. When medication is appropriate, I explain the options, potential benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives so you can participate actively in decisions about your care.
Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent approximately eight years working in critical care nursing. That experience shaped the way I practice today: listen carefully, remain calm when situations are complicated, and look at the whole person rather than simply treating a diagnosis.
As a native Spanish speaker originally from Cuba, I also understand how important it can be to discuss mental health in the language in which you feel most comfortable.
Whether this is your first time seeking psychiatric care or you are looking for a different approach after previous treatment, my goal is to provide respectful, practical, evidence-based care without making you feel rushed or judged.

What should a new client know about working with you?
I provide a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free approach to psychiatric care. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood changes, sleep difficulties, and other mental health symptoms. My goal is to understand not only your symptoms, but also how they are affecting your work, relationships, responsibilities, and overall quality of life. I believe treatment decisions should be made together. When medication is appropriate, I take time to explain the options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives so you can feel informed and comfortable with your treatment plan. Care is available in English and Spanish.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will review your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, previous treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. We will then discuss possible diagnoses and develop an individualized treatment plan together. Follow-up visits focus on your response to treatment, medication effectiveness and tolerability, symptom changes, functioning, and any adjustments that may help you continue making progress.
