About Dr. Alexey Amchentsev

He earned his medical degree from Karaganda Medical University and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the same institution. Because Dr. Amchentsev is bilingual in English and Russian, patients from a variety of backgrounds enjoy having him as their physician. His medical experience is vast and impressive. His areas of clinical interest include mechanical ventilation, diseases of the respiratory tract and chest, sleep apnea and disorders, cough, and asthma.
Dr. Amchentsev decided to become a doctor when he was a child. His parents are doctors, and he knew from an early age that he would love to learn about health and take care of people. He treats his patients with empathy and believes that understanding what patients are going through, acknowledging their emotional state, and listening attentively are very important. Outside of his practice, Dr. Amchentsev enjoys swimming, reading, and hiking.
He is devoted to ensuring the longevity of his patients' health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. He takes his time to understand symptoms and provide correct diagnoses to ensure the continued health of all his patients.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Amchentsev. I have asthma and have been experiencing a flare up that was not responding to my usual medication. He asked questions and listened to the answers and could not have been nicer. He told me what he thought was going on and offered a clear strategy for dealing with the issue. Excellent experience!

I have to say in this day and age of medicine in this country it was refreshing to find a Dr. who is as caring and compassionate . The Dr. did a full exam and history and explained what my problem is and expedited the tests to make the diagnosis. I recommend this dr. to anyone who has breathing problems.
