What should a new client know about working with you?

The more you know about treatment the better but I generally will explain everything and point out what is the most important things to pay attention to as we go along.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I do an evaluation that is fairly broad in scope including a medical work up ensure any mood symptoms are addressed from every angle. I generally offer both therapy and medications to my patients as I feel it provides the most rapid and robust impact. I tend to focus therapeutic interventions on changing the thoughts and behaviors that feel negative feelings. Medication is started at low doses and the minimum working dose is maintained with a target on minimizing medication use in the long run.

Total time waster. Not helpful as a doctor very much advise not to see this doctor if you value your own time

Dr. Robenzadeh was very clear in his approach. No beating around the bush or unnecessary chatter - got straight to the point and was very straightforward. He explained his reasoning and suggestions clearly and concisely. Was very helpful in answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns.

Overall a pretty unpleasant experience with this office. The DR was 20+ minutes late for each telehealth appointment, the office is unreachable directly (only through a call service) and they are not very organized. I only saw him because my other physician suddenly moved practices and wasn’t with a new practice yet and I was out of medication. He wouldn’t prescribe me the medication I’ve been on for years without also prescribing something “for my anxiety” which I repeatedly told him I didn’t have and didn’t need to be treated with medication. At one point he said that “anxiety and ADHD cannot exist without each other” and that “if you have one you have the other” which makes no sense to me because there are definitely people out there with anxiety and not ADHD. Incredibly condescending and patronizing. Would not take my word for how I was feeling. Scheduled 3 appointments with me in 2 weeks (more than I’ve ever seen) and required me to see 3 other drs as a part of onboarding.

Really glad I met with him, and he accepts my insurance. I felt like a human rather than a patient with a diagnosis. Dr. Robenzadeh had helpful insight. Only wish there wasn't so much trouble with the message taking clerk answering the phone at the front desk...but the doctor was great.

Always a pleasure
Fantastic!!
Kind devoted and very helpful : )
He is always available and responsive. His calm demeanor works well with my 11yo daughter. She responds well to him and that has resulted in continuous improvement in behavior and academics.
Do yourself a favor and avoid seeing this doctor. I scheduled 2 appointments with this doctor. The first time I went to see him he had me fill out a rather long intake form. When it was time for him to see me he sent me away saying my blood pressure was too high. And referred me to urgent care. No problem there. So I scheduled an appointment to see him the following week and made sure my BP was good. When I showed up for my appointment he wasn’t even in the office and showed up 25 minutes late to the appointment. Then he asked if I had filled out the intake forms last week, I told him yes. He comes back a few minutes later and says he can’t find it and that I’d have to fill them out again. I told him I’m having vision inpairments and had a hard time filling them out the first time. He gave me a look as if he could care less and left me with the clipboard and took the person scheduled after me. At that point I just walked out his office. If I can’t trust your office to keep my sensitive medical information, how can I trust you with my mental health? But that’s not even the worst part about this doctor. I tried booking an appointment with another doctor with ZocDoc and my account was locked. I called them up and they said my account was locked because this same doctor claimed I was a no show to my two appointments. Avoid this guy at all cost. I’m having some serious depressing health disorders and needed a professional to speak to and he totally failed me.

I had been to a few other treatment programs for trauma, anxiety and depression. As a woman, I was looking for a comfortable place where I could deal with the underlying issues that were fueling my unhappiness. Dr R has a kind non-judgmental style and a great way of communicating. He is always so present and attentive I know I am truly heard and understood. His thoughtful insights are always gift wrapped in perfect explanations and analogies that make the point so obvious I wonder how I ever missed it.
Attentive and result-oriented.

I have been working with Dr. Robenzadeh for 5 months now. Without a doubt his approach to psychiatry has changed my life. This is a doctor who is knowledgeable and straightforward yet kind, non-judgmental and approachable. Dr. R integrates effective, evidence-based forms of therapy such as DBT and CBT into his practice. He does not simply write prescriptions without a thorough intake and necessary follow-ups to check in. I SO appreciate this. He acknowledges that you are human and not simply a statistic of the DSM-5. I fully trust him, and am more motivated than ever to take responsibility for my mental health. Thank you so much.

Dr. R was incredibly kind and attentive. He helped me identify problems I’ve been having and wanted to help me find the right solution for me. I’m so grateful! The office was beautiful and inviting, there was no wait time, and I felt like I was in good hands. He discussed treatment and medication options with me and made sure I was aware and comfortable with any effects or drawbacks. Very happy to have made my appointment.
Rushed to give me a new medication and diagnosis on the first appointment, despite me being comfortable and stable with the old one. Thought it was strange-- he did not respond to my messages and concerns about this. Would not recommend.
Took care of me on his day off, thank you !
We have been struggling with a very difficult situation and as a result we have needed Dr. Robenzadeh on many occasions to see us after-hours and take our calls late at night and over the weekend. He has even coordinated with our pediatrician and other specialists to make sure our child has every protection and advantage to get better.
He provides compassionate care for those in need. Dr. Robenzadeh has a wonderful personality, is super calming and put me at ease immediately. Dr. Robenzadeh is very knowledgeable in psychiatry, with many different medication and therapeutic treatment options offered. I would highly recommend Dr. Robenzadeh to anybody who needs compassionate and effective psychiatric services.
I felt as if he just happened to have an available slot to fill not someone who is looking to take on new patients . Honestly my time would have been better spent seeing another provider .
Very good listener, clear communication.
Visits were frustrating because he does not listen to his patients. He will talk AT you and contradict how you say you feel. His treatment made me very uncomfortable knowing that he was not actively listening to me. Additionally, he would not return my calls or emails on multiple occasions and I was left outside his door as if he had forgotten I was there for an appointment more than once.
While he was generally helpful and seemed to take my best interests in mind, I felt his bedside manner was judgmental, aloof, and somewhat haughty, and I walked away from the appointment feeling marginalized and misunderstood as a result. As I did not continue seeing him, I can't fully speak to his efficacy as a medical professional, but he did make his intake process transparent and easily digestible.
Amazing!
