A native of Argentina, Dr. Fernandez has a diverse background with extensive international training and experience. Dr. Fernandez completed his Bachelor of Science, medical degree and residency training in Pediatric Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. After coming to the US, he also completed additional residency training in Pediatrics at Monmouth Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during his final year, and in Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Fernandez joined private dermatology practices in Port Charlotte and Sarasota, Florida, where he honed his skills and worked with leading physicians in the field. He now brings his advanced knowledge and experience to ADF Dermatology and Skin Surgical Center. Actively involved in the medical community, Dr. Fernandez is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Florida State Medical Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Fernandez is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
