Getting to know Alicia Ellis
Hello I am Alicia
I have worked in a variety of areas during my healthcare career, including ER, ICU, psych units, and as a float nurse. I have been a registered nurse for twenty years and am currently a practicing Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and PMHNP across the lifespan. I obtained my Master of Nursing in the Adult Geriatric Primary Care field at the University of Cincinnati, my Doctor of Nursing, PMHNP, and my Teaching Certificate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where I was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. I have worked in a variety of areas during my healthcare career, including ER, ICU, psych units, and as a float nurse. As a NP my experience is in addiction medicine, mental health, primary care, pain management, and corrections. During this time, I have managed patients with substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I am passionate about assisting patients who have experienced trauma-related experiences. I can assist Veterans that experienced PTSD, anxiety, substance use disorders, and depression.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Your first session will consist of a comprehensive assessment, create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to express yourself and tailor a treatment plan to meet your unique needs and circumstances. By way of telehealth, you will have the flexibility to schedule your session around work or busy life. This will encourage a therapeutic relationship that paves the way for open communication and promotes the healing process. I will use medication management and psychotherapy to assist in your treatment plan that we agree on together.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
