About Alisha Basnet
Alisha Basnet is a board-certified dermatology Physician Assistant at The Dermatology Specialists. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Mexico and then obtained her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology PAs and the American Academy of PAs.
During her time in PA school, Alisha completed her clinical training in dermatology specializing in an individualized approach to address various skin concerns. Currently, she is undergoing extensive training with various TDS providers and actively participating in the Society of Dermatology PA Diplomate fellowship program. A passionate advocate for dermatological care, Alisha is committed to delivering a patient care experience that is both approachable and friendly.
Alisha is also fluent in Nepali and Hindi. In her leisure moments, she cherishes quality time with her family, explores new destinations through travel, and enjoys experimenting with different cuisines.

Dr. Basnet was kind and compassionate about my skin condition (mostly eyelid eczema). She explained that we'd take baby steps in my treatment and had me book a follow-up for two weeks later. The office was nice, bright and clean and the staff was helpful and polite. I think this is a great practice for the area! I live one neighborhood over, but it's so convenient for me to walk over. It's been years since I've had a dermatologist, and I plan to continue seeing Dr. Basnet.
