“Easy to find the office. The wait was a bit long, but the procedure was quick and smooth so made up for it. I did think it was weird that I had an appointment with the provider and heard someone else check-in for an appointment with that same provider just ten minutes after my appointment, so...they probably over stack. That was the only concern. Would visit again.”

About Alison Moy
Alison Moy is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2014 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2021 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining our team, Alison completed a highly competitive 2-year dermatology fellowship for nurse practitioners at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. The rigorous training included didactic education alongside dermatology residents and rotation in subspecialty clinics. Her training extended to managing her independent clinic, where she treated a wide range of dermatological conditions.
She also served as a sub-investigator in clinical trials research and contributed to publication. Alison enjoys all areas of general dermatology, she has a special interest in acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss, skin cancer surveillance, and prevention. Her goal is to enhance confidence and improve quality of life through personalized dermatological care.

Regardless of how busy a practice is, the care team should always take the time to listen, understand, and communicate with patients. Your familiarity with an issue doesn't mean you shouldn't take the time to make sure a patient understands what is going on. It is very dismissive and unprofessional.
My experience here felt like I was being pushed through the patient mill. It felt like I had been diagnosed and evaluated before anyone had even walked through the door, and I was left without any explanation of what could be going on or causing the issue. I was given a handful of prescriptions with very little explanation and told I was "good to go" and we'd re-evaluate in 2 months. I was MAYBE in the room for 5 minutes total. When I asked follow up questions, it felt like I was inconveniencing the them.
The 2 assistants were lovely but I was not impressed with Dr. Moy's patient care at all. Will not be returning.

Didn't feel like she really listened to my concerns and addressed them. If I hadn't asked she wouldn't have told me what her diagnosis was and what may cause it. I was hoping to investigate what causes my eczema vs just slapping a creme on it.

This was my first visit to Illinois Dermatology Institute. I had an appointment with Allison Moy, APRN. The entire office was friendly and professional. I also really appreciated the short wait time, as I was seen almost immediately. Allison Moy was knowledgeable, thorough, attentive, and took the time to answer all my questions. Highly recommend!

My experience was okay. I came in for some concerns on my skin. When she looked at it she did not really explain what it could be. Gave me a cream and then said I may need a biopsy done. No explanation was given or any information if I should be concerned.
