What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first visit will be a clinical interview focusing on health history, symptom presentation, treatment history, social factors, genetic considerations, and treatment planning. Follow up visits will be shorter and typically happen monthly until symptoms are stabilized.

I would describe my experience with doctor Thompson as exceptional! I have struggled with anxiety and depression for quite some time and have seen various psychiatrists and therapists, and yet none of them stuck out to me. I am quite picky, so I never felt satisfied with any of them. She took the time to genuinely listen to all my worries and concerns, and for the first time ever- made me feel heard. After having my first session with her I feel very optimistic of what the future holds, and that is a feeling that I have not felt in a long time. I can't describe how happy I am to have found her. I don't typically leave reviews but she is definitely worth giving a shot if you're looking for a psychiatrist who not only knows how to do her job, but also someone who cares about your well being as well.

My visit with Alissa was better than visits with providers I've had in the past. Alissa was attentive to my concerns and own goals for treatment. She also gave great explanations about different aspects of my visit and promptly provided clear answers to all the questions I had. I would recommend her to any of my friends or family looking to switch providers or consult about treatment.

Dr. Thompson was incredibly helpful and friendly. I had recently moved states and needed to find a provider to assist me in prescription management. She spend some time getting to know me and learning about my health and current medications and never once made me feel rushed during our appointment. She was very responsive to my request to change pharmacies after I learned my first choice pharmacy did not accept my insurance. My insurance with Dr. Thompson went through easily and without issue. I already have a follow up planned with her and recommend her to anyone needing a new mental health provider.
