“I had so many things going on in life. Relationship problems, work problems, and many other things going on at the same time. Falling asleep was hard. So many thoughts and worries keeping me up at night. I was tired throughout the day and my appetite was not good. I neglected myself. I made an appointment with Allen two months ago. He was the third provider I saw. Allen really took the time to get to know me and understand what is important to me. My anxiety and depression is still there but has improved so much that I am actually functional and getting through the day is a lot easier. I never thought I would ever get out of that dark place. Thank you Allen for all the support. God bless you!”

“I’m in the military and lost one of my buddies to suicide. It hit me hard. I was dealing with depression and a lot of guilt that I couldn’t shake. It’s not something that’s easy to explain to people who haven’t been through it. Meeting Allen was different. Knowing he has a military background made it easier to open up. I didn’t feel like I had to explain everything. He just got it. During one visit, I started talking about my buddy and broke down. He didn’t rush me or try to move on. He sat with me in that moment and helped me work through the guilt in a real way. I’m still healing, but I’m in a much better place now. If you’re military or a veteran, I’d highly recommend him.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Working with me is structured, collaborative, and focused on clarity. My goal is to help you understand what you’re experiencing and develop a treatment plan that is realistic, effective, and tailored to your life. During your first visit, we will go through your symptoms, history, and current concerns in a thorough but comfortable way. I ask focused and purposeful questions to better understand patterns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, sleep, and overall functioning. This allows us to arrive at a clear and accurate understanding rather than rushing to conclusions. My style is calm, direct, and supportive. I will guide the conversation while giving you space to speak openly without judgment. If medication is appropriate, we will review options together, including benefits, risks, and what to expect. If you prefer a more conservative or non-medication approach, that will always be respected. Follow-up visits are focused on progress, adjustments, and ensuring your treatment is working effectively. The goal is not just short-term symptom relief, but helping you feel more stable, clear, and in control over time. I value consistency, communication, and showing up for my patients. You can expect a provider who listens carefully, explains things clearly, and works with you in a way that feels manageable and sustainable. If you’ve been putting this off or are unsure where to start, this is a good place to begin.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process begins with a comprehensive initial evaluation, where we take the time to understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. This includes exploring concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, sleep patterns, and any contributing medical or environmental factors. From there, we develop a clear and individualized treatment plan. This may include medication management, supportive therapy, behavioral strategies, and, when appropriate, recommendations for additional support or testing. Each plan is tailored to your needs and adjusted based on your response over time. Follow-up visits are focused on monitoring progress, refining the treatment plan, and addressing any new or ongoing concerns. I pay close attention to how you are responding, including benefits, side effects, and overall functioning, to ensure your care remains effective and appropriate. I incorporate elements of supportive therapy during sessions, helping patients build insight, develop coping strategies, and navigate challenges in a practical and structured way. Throughout the process, the focus remains on clarity, consistency, and steady progress. The goal is to create a treatment approach that not only addresses symptoms, but helps you feel more stable, confident, and in control over time.

Very nice and kind. Thank you for everything.
I had so many things going on in life. Relationship problems, work problems, and many other things going on at the same time. Falling asleep was hard. So many thoughts and worries keeping me up at night. I was tired throughout the day and my appetite was not good. I neglected myself. I made an appointment with Allen two months ago. I’m in the military and lost one of my buddies to suicide. If you’re military or a veteran, I’d highly recommend him.
I’ve been going through one of the hardest times of my life. My son has schizophrenia and chose to live on the streets. He comes by sometimes for food, then leaves again. When he’s gone, I don’t know where he is or if he’s okay. It’s been heartbreaking and I’ve been very depressed. Allen has supported me through all of this. He listens without judgment and really understands how painful it is as a parent. He didn’t just listen, he helped. He gave me resources for shelters and food banks, helped me find a way to get my son a free phone, and connected me with people who might be able to help him. When I felt lost, he gave me direction. I’m truly grateful for him.
I was going through a really painful divorce and felt constantly put down and degraded. It took a toll on my confidence, and I started to shut down. By the time I decided to get help, I was scared and honestly didn’t know if I could open up to anyone. At my first visit, I was quiet and guarded. The first thing Allen said to me was, “you are in a safe space.” It might sound simple, but in that moment, it meant everything. There was something about the way he said it that made me feel like I could finally breathe. He didn’t push me to share more than I was ready to. He met me where I was and gave me time to open up at my own pace. Over time, I started to feel more comfortable speaking up and being honest about what I had been through. I’m still healing, but I feel stronger and more like myself again. Thanks to Allen who was patient and reassured me I was in a safe space to be me.
Mental health issues run in my family, and for a long time I thought it was just something I had to live with. I kept telling myself it was “normal,” even when I knew deep down something wasn’t right. It got to a point where I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Meeting Allen felt like a turning point. He didn’t make me feel broken or judged. He took the time to really understand my history and what I’ve been dealing with, not just surface-level questions. There was a moment when he explained things in a way that just clicked for me. For the first time, I felt like there was a reason behind what I was feeling, and more importantly, that something could actually be done about it. I still have work to do, but I feel hopeful now. That’s something I didn’t have before.
I had been diagnosed with depression for years, but it turns out I actually have bipolar disorder. Since starting care with Allen, everything finally started to make sense. I’ve been seeing him for several months now, and I feel better than I have in years. He really takes the time to listen and understand what’s going on, and he goes the extra mile to make sure you feel supported and on the right treatment plan. You can tell he genuinely cares. I highly recommend him.
I almost canceled this appointment because I felt like no one could understand me but I’m really glad I didn’t. Allen made me feel comfortable right away. It didn’t feel rushed or like a business transaction. He actually listened and paid attention in a way that made me feel understood without having to explain everything over and over. During my appointment I was feeling overwhelmed and left feeling lighter. That’s not something I’ve felt after past appointments. Definitely a different experience in the best way.
From the moment I started talking with Allen, I felt a sense of calm that I’m not used to in these kinds of appointments. There was no pressure, no awkward silence, no feeling like I had to say the “right” things. He made it easy to just be real, even about the things I usually keep to myself. What really stuck with me was how he made me feel understood without having to over explain everything. It felt like he was actually hearing me, not just listening to respond. There was something about the way he spoke and responded that made me feel safe, like I wasn’t being judged or rushed. I walked in feeling overwhelmed and honestly a little guarded. I walked out feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful than I have in a long time. It felt like someone was finally on my side, not just as a provider, but as a person who genuinely cares. That feeling is rare, and I’m really grateful I found him. Thank you Mr. Allen.
I didn’t realize how much I needed that appointment until it was over. From the moment we started talking, I felt a sense of calm I’m not used to in these settings. There was no pressure, no feeling like I had to say the “right” things. He created a space where I could just be honest, even about the things I usually hold back. That alone meant a lot. What really stayed with me was how he made me feel understood without having to over explain myself. At times it felt like he could pick up on things I couldn’t even fully put into words yet. There was this quiet reassurance in the way he responded that made me feel safe, not judged, not rushed. I walked in feeling overwhelmed and honestly a little guarded. I walked out feeling lighter, clearer, and more hopeful than I have in a while. It felt like someone was finally on my side, not just as a provider, but as a person who genuinely cares. That feeling is hard to find.
