“I had a nice experience at this facility and everything went very smoothly. I booked at 8:30a appt due to having work at 10 and I was seen very quickly! I saw PA, Allison Abbene, who was friendly and she listened to everything I said. She even addressed a second issue I had put down in my new patient form that I wasn’t sure I could address in the same visit, and she kindly took the time to talk with me about both issues. The x-ray for my shoulder was quick and easy too which was done before she came in the room. Then she went over the treatments she recommended. I would definitely see her again.”

About Allison Abbene
Allison Abbene, PA-C, is a nationally certified and New York State licensed physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. Under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Bedford, Allison manages all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, patient education, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assisting Dr. Bedford in surgery.
Allison completed her undergraduate education at the University of Delaware, earning an Honors Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She also gained experience as a biopsy technician at a private gastroenterology office on Long Island. I was disappointed that the practice was out of my network. That aside, the staff at reception were friendly, conversational, and professional. They were on top of everything from my check in to the end, making sure that a prescription and a referral sheet were handed to me. Before I saw the provider, I had an X-ray of my shoulder. The tech was efficient and polite. The PA Abbene was excellent. She listened to may concerns and ask the right questions regarding symptoms and history. She showed me on the X-ray where the problem was and explained it. I had first thought it was something more serious, and she put my mind at ease. Her diagnosis was spot on.
