Dr. Allison Davenport is a board-certified family medicine physician serving the Valrico, Florida area in support of BayCare Medical Group. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a family medicine residency from Michigan State University/Ascension Providence in Southfield, Michigan.
Dr. Davenport is committed to helping her patients enjoy a healthier lifestyle. I really like Dr D. She is efficient and will recommend only what needs to be done. At the same time I was wondering why she didn't check my heart/breathing - I thought that was standard of care on PC visit. Also I was having issue with my eyes and know it will be at least another month till I can get into a specialist. I was hoping she could prescribe something in the interim but she didn't. I was a little disappointed because it took a month for me to get in to see her only to get a referral so I can wait another month. There isn't much a primary care doctor does these days other than referral so I can wait another month or two for an appointment. This is a broken system in my opinion.

Be aware Zocdoc.com does not tell them what your appointment is for so the Dr and nurses are flying blind as to why you are there.

Dr. Davenport was wonderful. I was looking for a new PCP as did not have the greatest experience with my former PCP (not just PCP but the office itself was not pleasant to work with). Frist impressions from one visit - Dr. Davenport was a great communicator, explained everything well, didn't feel like she was rushing to move on to next patient and answered all my questions. Her medical assistant was also the greatest. I am so glad I found her.

Dr. Davenport was very thorough. Spent all the time I needed to ask questions about my history and listen to my Austin's and concerns. I never felt rushed. The rest of the staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints. I'm glad I chose Dr. Davenport to be my new primary care dr.
