Allison Fulton is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at LifeStance Health in Colorado who evaluates and treats mental health disorders across the lifespan. With over nine years of healthcare experience, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2015, becoming a registered nurse, and continued her education to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2022, becoming a nurse practitioner in psychiatry. With a deep commitment to excellent care and continuing education, she completed a yearlong post-graduate Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship in Behavioral Health through Denver Health and its affiliate, CU Medicine.
She has clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, correctional, and addiction psychiatry. In practice, Allison values the importance of patient safety, evidenced-based care, the multidisciplinary approach, and a collaborative patient-provider relationship. Allison’s treatment philosophy emphasizes the benefits of combining medication, lifestyle modifications, and therapy.
While her focus is on medication management and she is not a therapist, she is happy to provide a referral to a therapist who can offer specialized care. Her goal as a provider is to meet patients where they are and to identify the biological, characterological, social, cultural, and environmental roots of their concerns to develop a meaningful and effective plan for meeting their mental health goals.
Allison currently provides initial ADHD evaluations for children ages 7-11. If you are outside this age range and have a formal ADHD diagnosis with comprehensive diagnostic records, she can review them to determine if she is a good fit for medication management. Scheduling/Check In/Co-Pay process was convenient. The patient portal is easy to use. The front desk girl (I wish I remembered her name) was very helpful, patient, and kind. Allison Fulton is a wonderful provider. I immediately felt comfortable around her. She was attentive, thorough and supportive. I greatly appreciate all the time she spent with me and all the educational resources she provided.
