About Dr. Almois Mohamad

Almois Mohamad, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an experienced cardiologist serving patients at the Florida Heart, Vein and Vascular Institute, serving Zephyrhills, Lakeland, Plant City, Wesley Chapel, and Riverview, Florida. He began his medical career at The Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, in Khartoum, Sudan, then went on to finish his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. After that, Dr. Mohamad completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is skilled in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of cardiac and vascular diseases, utilizing whatever invasive, noninvasive, or interventional therapies will best meet patient needs. These include echocardiograms, heart monitors, nuclear medicine studies, and catheter-based interventions with balloons and stents. Dr. Mohamad holds four board certifications in cardiology disciplines, including Nuclear Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He is fluent in English and Arabic. When he is not seeing to his patients, Dr. Mohamad can be found enjoying sports or participating in community service.

The visit was fine. My only concern now is that total left knee surgery will be cancelled due to some stress Testing that is not scheduled till 7/16 My surgery is 7/22. I am upset that this testing cannot be done sooner!!
