I relocated to the United States from Ghana, West-Africa in 2003. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to care for women and their infants. During my clinical rotation in nursing school, I had a delivery with a midwife, and that was it for me - I knew what I wanted to do. I went on to become a labor and delivery nurse for 5 years at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, after having been a medical-surgical nurse for 5 years prior. As a labor and delivery nurse, I worked with several midwives and I very much enjoyed the support they provided to their patients, the low medical interventions, and the great delivery outcomes. I furthered my education at The Ohio State University College of Nursing and earned my degree in Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health. I relocated from Columbus, Ohio to Rochester New York to join the wonderful midwifery group at RGH. I enjoy working with women and providing a safe environment throughout puberty, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and menopause. My goal is to strive for healthy mothers and babies, and also healthy families.
