Growing up in a large extended household with a father who is a physician was among the foundations of her current career path. After completing medical school, she moved back to the United States to pursue her residency at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. She now finds joy and passion not only in exploring the diversity of medical issues in family medicine, but also in the narratives and personalities of every individual–from the children to the elderly–she gets to encounter in her day-to-day practice. When not in the clinic, Dr. Tiwari enjoys her free time gardening, cooking, or bonding with her family and friends. She’s also a certified dog lover and an adventurous soul who finds fascination in outdoor activities such as hiking and traveling. Dr. Tiwari is a firm believer that a healthy diet matched with the right exercise, plenty of sleep, and valuing happiness are a key to maintaining a well-balanced lifestyle. She’s also an advocate of the Mediterranean diet which she herself has made part of her eating habits.
