About Dr. Alycia Dickens
The mission of CAN Community Health is to inspire and contribute to the health and well-being of those affected by HIV, Hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted diseases by providing the best care through outreach, integrated clinical practice, advocacy, education, and research.
Alycia T. Dickens is a recognized leader in the field of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C with more than 20 years of experience. She worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Infectious Disease division at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) for more than 17 years. Additionally, she served as the Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner and Liver Transplant Coordinator at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Dickens earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duke University and holds both a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor’s degree from Hampton University.
