Alyssa Jimenez, SLP, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
NC
Hi, I’m Alyssa! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I believe every individual, child or adult, deserves the opportunity to communicate in the way that works best for them. Supporting people as they gain confidence, independence, and joy in their communication is what inspires me every day. I have experience working with children in a variety of settings, including General Education, D/HH programs, Autism Programs, and some Functional Skills Classrooms. These experiences have given me the opportunity to support individuals with diverse communication needs while collaborating closely with families and interdisciplinary teams. For the past seven years, I have worked within a Deaf and Hard of Hearing program, where I gained extensive experience in specialized assessment and therapeutic intervention. During this time, I also developed a strong foundation in American Sign Language (ASL) to support communication and connection with my students. I am also currently completing CEU courses through a local diagnostic center to further expand my expertise in assessing and treating students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). My therapy approach is holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized. I believe strong family involvement is key to meaningful progress and lasting carryover, and I strive to create a supportive, empowering environment where every client can grow, advocate for themselves, and reach their goals.
