Alyssa Strazzulla, RN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
8500 W Bowles Ave, #315, Littleton, CO
I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adults throughout Colorado improve their mental health and overall well-being. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and individualized medication management for adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, and other mental health conditions. Before becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I spent 12 years working as a registered nurse. My nursing background has shaped my compassionate, patient-centered approach to care and reinforced my understanding that mental health is closely connected to physical health and overall wellness. I believe understanding the "why" behind your symptoms is just as important as treating them, and I strive to create an environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my rescue dogs. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, and attending live music events.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe the best treatment plans are built through collaboration. My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns and actively participating in decisions about your care. I provide evidence-based psychiatric care while recognizing that mental health is influenced by many factors, including sleep, nutrition, stress, lifestyle, relationships, and overall wellness. Every treatment plan is individualized and tailored to your goals, values, and preferences. Whether you're new to treatment or looking for a fresh perspective, my goal is to help you better understand your symptoms, build resilience, and improve your overall quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll take time to understand your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, previous treatments, lifestyle, and what you're hoping to achieve through treatment. Together, we'll discuss potential diagnoses, review treatment options, and develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication recommendations, lifestyle strategies, and referrals for therapy or other supportive services when appropriate. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring your progress, reviewing how you're responding to treatment, addressing any concerns or side effects, and making adjustments as needed. I encourage questions throughout the process and want you to feel informed, supported, and confident in your treatment plan.
