Amanda Alexander is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and serves as one of the lead providers for Altitude Health. She earned her Master's in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Jacksonville University. Amanda has experience working with adolescents and adults of all ages and has received training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. With 15 years in the medical field, she has also held clinical leadership roles.
She is passionate about supporting clients who struggle with treatment-resistant depression and utilizes evidence-based modalities in her treatment plans. These treatments include the use of ketamine in combination with psychotherapy and mindfulness. Amanda approaches each client as an individual, understanding that every person is unique in their mental health challenges. She employs a person-centered and heart-centric approach to empower her clients to discover the healing powers within themselves.
Amanda finds great joy in being the mother of five amazing humans. She is a lover of animals and has many pets of her own. She enjoys spending time with her significant other, embracing whatever adventures the universe provides. She cares for her own mental health through meditation, mindfulness, vegetables, and yoga. Takes time to listen and explain the process. After treatment she goes over the experience with you. She takes a personal interest in my treatment which is rare these days.

She Was very nice and very attentive to my situation . She also had answers to all my questions and concerns. I will continue to see her. The ladies in the office were helpful and the practice is very reasonable on price for all people who are paying out of pocket.
