About Amanda Funari

Hi! I’m Amanda. I became a speech-language pathologist after shadowing clinicians in private practice and seeing the incredible impact communication can have at every stage of life. I was inspired by the opportunity to help people of all ages build the skills they need to connect with others, express themselves, and participate more fully in everyday life. My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported individuals with a wide range of communication needs. I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy plans that are tailored to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and daily routines. I believe therapy is most effective when it is meaningful, practical, and personalized to each individual's needs. I’m committed to lifelong learning and staying current with evidence-based practice. I am a 2025 ASHA ACE Award recipient and have completed the LAMP AAC 2-Day Training. I also presented "Using Journal Clubs to Facilitate Students’ Extracurricular Learning and Research" at the 2022 Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association (PSHA) Conference, reflecting my passion for clinical education and professional growth. My therapy approach is client-centered, family-centered, and highly individualized. I use functional strategies that promote communication beyond the therapy room and collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to support carryover into everyday life. My goal is to empower every client to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and participate more fully in the activities and relationships that matter most to them.
