Getting to know Amanda McGill
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and while attending my undergraduate at UNC Wilmington, I learned I wanted to dedicate my career to mental healthcare. Since then, I have enjoyed 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience providing compassionate care.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing and a Post-master’s specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Washburn University. My background includes working in the inpatient psychiatric setting, where I participated in and led research to improve outcomes which are published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. I consult nationally, and I am a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
