From the first time I met Amanda, many years ago, when I took my blind friend to an appointment with Amanda, I saw Amanda's compassion, wisdom and real quality care combined with a sweet heart of kindness.
From that moment I knew my dermatologist had to be Amanda Murphy, and through the years she has been a bright light for me in every visit and always is able to help me with joy.
Depth of knowledge with compassion coupled with the latest equipment is just a great combination!
I would also like to commend every staff member at Embrace. It is a wonderful team- the receptionist's heartfelt welcome and the care of every nurse, and assistant along with the medical leaders all result in a wonderful environment for patients.

About Amanda Murphy
Amanda Murphy joins Embrace Dermatology and Aesthetics with almost 20 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in dermatology. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. Amanda earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of skin conditions and disorders in both children and adults. Additionally, she is skilled in performing skin examinations, as well as diagnosing and treating skin cancers.
Educating future Physician Assistants is also important to Amanda. She lectures at area Physician Assistant programs on various dermatologic topics and teaches dermatologic procedures, suturing techniques, and clinical skill labs. In recognition of her commitment to education, she was awarded Alumnus of the Year by Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Amanda has also lectured at national Physician Assistant conferences. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and holds the distinction of SDPA Diplomat Fellow.
Amanda lives locally with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys long-distance running, reading, playing tennis, and spending quality time with her family.
