She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Spectrum Behavioral Health under the supervision of Scott E. Smith, Ph.D. Dr. Wiemken works with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as with couples and families. She has worked with individuals presenting with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, trauma, and disruptive behaviors. Dr. Wiemken provides evidence-based treatment and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Structural Family Therapy. Dr. Wiemken additionally conducts psychological testing and assessments with children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Wiemken received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Monmouth University in Long Branch, NJ. She holds a Masters and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. When meeting with clients, Dr. Wiemken considers all aspects of their personal histories, including life experiences, social relationships, family environments, and learning patterns. Dr. Wiemken values the importance of integrating research, along with clients’ unique individual differences, to best inform treatment recommendations. In addition to implementing evidence-based practices, Dr. Wiemken focuses on the value of a strong therapeutic relationship and collaboration with her clients in session.
