Amar Gottipati, MD, is a physician who specializes in comprehensive health care for people of all ages – newborns to seniors. She is board-certified in family medicine with clinical training from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Selma.
Dr. Amar was involved in clinical research at the University of Florida. Dr. Amar has served as a teacher, mentor and role model for several medical, nursing, and pharmacy students during the past several years.
Dr. Amar brings several years of experience in various fields of medicine. Dr. Amar has experience with both inpatient and outpatient management. Dr. Amar is certified in adult, pediatric and neonatal resuscitation.
In addition to exemplary clinical service as a family physician, Dr. Amar has a special interest in preventative care and focuses on promoting preventative care to prevent disease and premature death. She has conducted several educational seminars to educate the people on the importance of preventative care. The doctor was excellent! My issue is with the lady that attempted to take my blood. She was initially nice and professionally even through frustration from not being able to draw my blood. Then she randomly asked was I “transitioning” when I informed her to put “F” for female in the sex box on the lab form. I told her NO and she went on to say my voice is deep and reminds her of her friend that’s transitioning. Once again I informed her that I was a woman that was NOT transitioning. When I finally received my paperwork, she put a “T” in the sex box for transitioning. That is unacceptable and I do NOT appreciate her antics.

The doctor is good listener and spends time to understand the patient. Karen from the office staff is very rude, irresponsible and find ways to push back all the time. After my lab reports came back I had to follow up multiple times to get it, doctor didn't care to call and explain the reports. I finally ended up visiting office to collect my reports, Karen told she would send the reports on email but didn't. I wouldn't recommended not because of doctor but because of horrible experience with the staff.

Very professional and courtesy physician and staff. I was so impressed that I suggested to my wife that Dr. Gottipati would be an excellent primary care physician for her. She agreed and our granddaughter will also be establishing care with that office. Our family comes from a healthcare background and would highly recommend this MD and staff.
