“I cannot say enough good things about this nurse practitioner. I came in feeling really self-conscious and frustrated about my acne, and she immediately made me feel seen and cared for instead of just another appointment. She took the time to really look at my skin, explain what was going on, and recommended a corticosteroid injection that made a noticeable difference so quickly. Her approach was gentle, thorough, and genuinely reassuring—I left feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time about my skin.
Beyond the acne, she also handled my sore throat with the same level of care and attention. She listened carefully to my symptoms, ordered the right testing without rushing, and made sure I understood every step. What stands out most is how she combines clinical skill with real compassion—she never made me feel dismissed or rushed. I went in feeling awful and pretty anxious. I was dehydrated and needed an IV and I have small veins so I was already bracing for it to be a whole ordeal. Amaryllis Malekniazi NP took one look at me, explained exactly what she was going to do, and got the IV in on the first try. It barely hurt. She stayed with me while the fluids ran, checked on me more than once, and answered every question without making me feel rushed or stupid.
She is calm, thorough, and actually listens. She walked me through what was going on, what to watch for at home, and when I should come back. The whole visit felt organized and human instead of like I was just another slot on the schedule.
If you need someone who can handle the medical side and still treat you like a person, go see her. I left feeling a lot better than when I walked in and I would go back without thinking twice.

i had to get a iv hydration done for fatigue and i had a sore throat and other issues. this np new exactly what she was doing and helped me profusely. she has great bedside manner, clinical knowledge and scope of practice and is very professional. she also went to Duke. I recommend her to other people that need help.
