Amber believes her most important role as a physician assistant is to be a great listener, advocate and educator to all her patients. "I enjoy the interaction with people and treasure the relationships that are formed," she says. "I find joy in helping my patients achieve their health goals." After earning her Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Foreign Language and Literature-Spanish from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, she went on to receive her master's degree in physician assistant stuies from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. During rotations at Quinnipiac, she had a special emphasis in dermatology and infectious disease. Amber joins Providence from Middlesex Hospital in Durham, Connecticut, where she worked in primary care for several years and volunteered providing medical care to migrant farm workers. Amber was born in Nebraska and was raised on a farm until her family moved to Colorado when she was a teenager. She now calls the Pacific Northwest home with her husband, twin boy and girl, and two cats. In her free time she enjoys running, doing yoga, traveling and being outdoors. She is fluent in Spanish.
