Dr. Haq was nice. This was my first time seeing her as a new patient, she was friendly, listened and did a pretty good physical exam.
But to the medical assistant (Spanish guy with the big glasses that wears the Giants hoodie)…be a little friendlier. He didn’t introduce himself or explain anything he was about to do - take temp, use the Pulse Ox. He did say he was going to take my blood pressure and weight. As he asked the standard questions he just had a very blah demeanor. He wore this Giants hoodie, no name tag. Only reason you know he works there is because of the stethoscope he wore around his neck. Better attire for a medical setting would be appropriate.

My experience with Dr. Haq specifically was great this morning despite an unexpected power outage in the building a few hours earlier. The staff informed me that the computers were down but that Dr. Haq could see me anyway though I would not be able to get my blood drawn today. They gave me the option to reschedule my appt but I had come a long way and wanted to check in with the doc about a specific medical issue. The power came back on as I was waiting to see the doc.
I am primarily writing about the nurse I interacted with, who was rude and standoffish. When she did speak to me, she did so in a cold, curt manner as if she preferred that I had rescheduled my appointment that morning. My entire experience with her from start to finish was unpleasant. Bad vibes. Hope she was just having a bad day and doesn’t act like this to all patients.
