What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? I am passionate about advocating for my patients and their health. It is important to me to develop a mutually agreed-upon plan of care to ensure both the patient’s safety and well-being. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of the primary care provider is to care for the patient as a whole. We serve as the patient’s access point to care for both physical and mental health. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family. I also like movie and game nights with friends and family. I hold a Master’s in Family Nursing from Maryville University, a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania Western University, and an Associate’s degree from the Community College of Allegheny County.

Poor bedside manners, did not even say hello or asked how I was before jumping straight into asking me questions. A terrible first impression and set the course for the rest of my day.

The appointment started on time. The nurse practicioner didn't provide that warm of a greeting or introduction. Once we got past all of the data verification stuff she asked pointed questions about what brought me in and my medical history/family background. She did an adequate assessment of my needs and prescribed meds for my situation. Her summary report was more detailed than any information she provided me during the actual visit, but I appreciate the thoroughness in the follow-up.
