Amber Schaefer, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who first attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, earning her Bachelor of Science in 2018. She went on to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine in Omaha, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2021. Amber joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Dermatology department in August 2025.
As someone who was inspired to become a certified physician assistant by her own experiences as a Dermatology patient, Amber enjoys the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of patients every day. With attention to detail and compassion, she treats a wide variety of skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. She also provides skin cancer screenings and is passionate about skin cancer prevention and early detection. No matter what brings her patients to her, Amber enjoys providing patient-centered care that helps improve their well-being and quality of life.

Amber builds trust with her patients by truly listening to their concerns, establishing open communication, and treating each patient with empathy and respect. She treats the patient as a whole person and engages her patients in shared decision making.
