He fellowed in hematology and medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he also conducted research in immunology under Dr. Steven Rosenberg and NCI. Dr. Mazumder has contributed to more than 140 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has a number of grants, patents, abstracts, book chapters, and invited presentations to his credit. As principal investigator, he has led more than 50 clinical trials in multiple myeloma and transplant in the last 15 years. Dr. Mazumder is fluent in Hindi and Bengali. Dr. Mazumder believes in staying current in research in order to provide the best care and treatment plans for his patients. His goal is to optimize the quality of life for his patients and to also help his patients and their loved ones manage the challenges of cancer. He believes strongly in communication and strives to educate his patients and their loved ones in the best treatment plans, which are individually tailored to their specific needs.
