Foot and ankle surgeon Ammar Saymeh, DPM, is the Director of Lower Extremity Services at Alliance Orthopedics. He sees patients of all ages, ranging from pediatrics to the elderly population at the practice’s locations in Matawan, East Brunswick, Freehold, and Morganville, New Jersey.
His surgical and clinical interests include sports injuries, which include ligamentous and tendon injuries, Achilles tendon injuries, ankle sprains, and strains, arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive bunion, and hammertoe surgery, reconstructive flatfoot surgery, post-traumatic arthritis, fracture repair, and deformity correction of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Saymeh attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He then completed his three-year surgical residency training at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey.
Before joining the Alliance Orthopedics team, Dr. Saymeh worked in private practice in Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Licensed to practice in New Jersey, he is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Saymeh is certified in the Arthrex MIS (minimally invasive surgery) Course Level III and the ProStep Minimally Invasive System by Wright Medical in techniques for both forefoot and rearfoot minimally invasive procedures.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Saymeh and staff! It was the caring of the staff at NJSW calling me the day I broke my ankle. They were calling to see how I was feeling regarding an old back injury and I said I fell and hurt my ankle and she said come in tomorrow and see Dr. Saymeh he's the best! They couldn't be more correct! Dr Saymeh has been treating me for 9 months and kept me from having surgery and is constantly coming up with ways to keep me out of pain!!! Can't say enough about him!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Saymeh for 7 months for a broken ankle. He is very patient and kind and wants the best for his patients. The staff is amazing as well! Dr. Saymeh is a wonderful doctor who treated my son’s fractured foot with compassion and care. My son was scared but Dr. Saymeh put him at ease and explained everything very thoroughly. He answered our many questions with patience and understanding. He also had custom orthotics made for my daughter which really helped her. I first met Dr. Saymeh a year ago and I could barely walk on my right foot. In no time, he was able to diagnose and treat my problem. Dr. Saymeh made me feel extremely comfortable and answered all my questions, even the ones I forgot to ask. He is kind and genuinely cares about his patients.

The staff was very nice and sympathetic, they made me feel like they really cared about me. They were able to see me almost immediately which is rare in the covid-19 age. Paperwork was easily completed online which sped up the reception process. Vitals were checked and I explained what had happened to me. I was quickly taken to have fresh x-rays. When I returned Elena was waiting for me in the exam room. We were completing the intake questions and in walked Dr. Saymeh. We exchanged greetings and he suggested we take a look at the new x-rays. Dr. Saymeh immediately Saw the problem and took the time to show and explain to me what had happened. I was hurt bad, for the first time in my life. The Dr. then went over my options and unfortunately surgery offered the best outcome. This occurred on a Friday. The following Monday I had my surgery proformed. I received the same quality of care at the surgery center and the procedure was completed as explained. The post surgery x-rays show the skill level of this surgeon! I look good as new. The next day I received a call from the doctor himself asking me how I feel and if I have any questions. He took the time to listen and answer all my questions. It felt like I was talking to a old friend. We scheduled a follow up appointment for next Monday and I am on the road to recovery. Thank you to you and your staff Dr. Saymeh. You really are a credit to your profession. I can whole heartely recommend this Dr and his staff to all that may require his services. Rest easy, you are in good hands. Elena is an excellent coordinator who kept everything moving along smoothly and allowed my procedure to be completed within 3 days of my initial exam. Well done.

Being under Dr. Saymeh’s care has been so rewarding. He’s helped me more with my ankle injury than I ever thought was possible. After sustaining an ankle sprain for four years, I now have more range of motion, strength, and awareness of what’s best for my body going forward. Not only is he an expert, but his demeanor and professionalism make you feel comfortable and cared for. I’m looking forward to continuing to work closely with Dr. Saymeh and my physical therapist at NJ Spine and Wellness to heal my ankle.

Dr.Saymeh is very professional and personable. I have been having issues with my ankles for years and he is the first podiatrist to actually give me answers. He helped me with all my concerns and answered all my questions. He helped me with problems that I didn’t even know about! He provided me with great information and has helped me tremendously. I highly recommend him for any podiatry issues anyone may have.

My son broke his foot jumping off of the deck. Dr. Saymen was very professional took XRays and was able to diaginose him same day. My son was put in a boot and followed closely for progress. I'm so apprieciative to him and his whole team.
