Amy Arriaga, MS, RD

Dietitian
MI
When I was a young child, I was diagnosed with severe anaphylactic food allergies. This is when my personal relationship with food began. My struggle with food allergies helped me learn how to advocate at a young age for a healthy lifestyle. I earned my Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Arlington and completed my Master’s in Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University. After graduate school, I worked in a variety of outpatient settings—hospitals, doctors’ offices, teaching classes and at worksites, community nutrition, restaurants, weight loss and diabetes clinics, nursing homes, health rehabilitation clinics, and prenatal clinics. It has been rewarding to work with many different types of people over the years through various phases of life. Currently, my husband and I have three very athletic children playing a range of sports from elementary through high school. We strive to keep up with our active lifestyle, achieve our goals, and maintain healthy weights. All of us are constantly in the kitchen cooking, but we also eat out on the road and in restaurants. We want to experience life as fully as we can while keeping our health a priority. Life is full of foods, social activities, and challenging work situations. My goal is to help you find a plan that fits your lifestyle with changes you feel confident making permanently to meet your goals. Everyone needs support when making changes and learning how to live healthier. Making changes is hard, and I am here to help you reach your goals.
