I am a nurse practitioner in psychiatric-mental health focusing on the medication management of mental disorders and mental illness. These terms are often used interchangeably. Mental disorders can impact anyone for a variety of reasons. This includes symptoms of grief, anxiety, depression, social anxiety, tearfulness, poor energy, over-sleeping, insomnia, changes in appetite or weight, poor concentration, impulsivity, anger and panic. Mental illness may include symptoms of hallucinations, paranoia, obsession, mania, and disruptive inappropriate behavior. I enjoy providing a combination of medication and brief counseling to guide you toward relief of symptoms. I will also recommend herbal remedies, nutritional supplements, and lifestyle changes which could impact your success. I provide client-centered-care which means decision making is shared between you and me.
