Amy Hardt, PMHNP

Amy Hardt, PMHNP

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
321 Main St, Great Barrington, MA
I'm a board-certified psychiatric mental health advanced nurse practitioner, licensed to diagnose and treat mental health disorders in Massachusetts. I hold master's degrees in the science of nursing, public health, and medical anthropology from University of Massachusetts and Maryland. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse in 2017, I spent 20 years as a health educator and public health researcher in the U.S. and overseas. Every person's story is important to me. Along with a personalized approach to prescribing (and deprescribing) psychotropic medications, I recommend evidence-based, holistic approaches to help patients optimize their sleep, nutrition, lifestyle habits, and nervous system regulation. I have experience with caregiver coaching, CBT for Insomnia, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, allowing me to provide adjunctive therapeutic support as well.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
