About Amy Irwin

Amy Irwin is a Nurse Practitioner based in Tucson, Arizona. She received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. In 2004, she relocated to Tucson, AZ, where she worked as a Hematology/Oncology RN for five years. She obtained her Master’s degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Arizona in 2009 and became certified by the ANCC. She has been a practicing NP since 2009 in the fields of Hematology/Oncology, Orthopedic surgery, and General/Cosmetic Dermatology. She obtained her neurotoxin and dermal filler certification and subsequently completed an aesthetic preceptorship at Auri Aesthetics in Phoenix in 2023.
Amy loves spending time with her patients and is passionate about patient education and ensuring her patients understand their diagnoses and treatment options. She is a huge advocate of skin cancer prevention and early detection and is thrilled to be a part of the Desert Dermatology team, where she can partner with patients on this regularly. Amy enjoys providing all general dermatologic care to patients and is experienced in multiple medical procedures, including extensive work with suturing and surgical wound closure. She is also skilled in the administration of Botox as well as other skin rejuvenation treatments designed to enhance each individual’s natural features.
Outside of work, Amy most enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also loves running, hiking, indulging in a good book, and traveling.

The office was clean and beautiful when I arrived. The woman at the front desk verified that I filled out the forms online and only had signatures for me to finish the process. I only waited about 3 minutes to get called back. Everyone made me feel comfortable and heard when I told them my concerns. Amy Irwin was knowledgeable and took her time during my skin check and addressed all my concerns and gave me some recommendations. Definitely glad I found Desert Dermatology and Amy Irwin!
