About Dr. Amy Rose
Dr. Rose earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and received Highest Honors from the Department of English and Creative Writing. She then received her medical degree from Stanford University and was awarded the Resident Scholar Fellowship Award to fund a year-long research project in oncology. After medical school, Dr. Rose completed two years of general surgery training at New York University School of Medicine. She then returned to the laboratory as the melanoma research fellow for the NYU Interdisciplinary Melanoma Research Group, one of the largest melanoma research centers in the country. Following her melanoma fellowship, she completed her dermatology residency at NYU in the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology.
During her residency she was awarded the Husik Prize for best research paper and was a two-time finalist in the Dermatology Society of New York’s Stritzler Resident Research Competition, winning the competition in her first year. Throughout her residency and fellowship, Dr. Rose published over 20 research studies on melanoma and cosmetic dermatology including a book chapter about non-surgical rejuvenation of the temple in Clinics in Plastic Surgery. With a completed NYU dermatology residency, Dr. Rose has a comprehensive background in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Given her prior training in general surgery, she has cultivated a special interest in procedural dermatology, specifically laser surgery, soft tissue augmentation, and acne scarring. She continues to conduct and to publish procedural and cosmetic-based clinical research projects at Skin Laser and Surgery Specialists.

It’s a nice office and the staff was very pleasant. I was seen right at my appointment time. Dr. Rose took some samples for biopsies with a very gentle touch, which is appreciated. I’m so glad to have found this practice which is in my plan!

? I was greeted by Amy's lovely office administrator, Andy, Who immediately made me feel at home. Amy is a really kind person and a great doctor with an amazing bedside manner, and lots of knowledge about the field of dermatology. This was my first time visiting a Dermatologist and I wasn't sure what to expect. I went for an annual skin screening. Everyone at Dr. Rose's office was friendly and welcoming and made the visit enjoyable. The skin check was efficient and felt like I was in great hands.

The appt was just very short, I didn’t feel taken seriously. She prescribed a topical for acne, but didn’t really provide instructions. I had to call the office 3 times to actually get the prescription sent out and it took about 3 weeks. I followed the instructions on the medicine and my skin couldn’t handle it. Just felt like maybe she should’ve talked to me about some of these things. While I realize that maybe this was second nature to people who use the medicine all the time, I was in a lot of pain from it.
