Dr. Amy Syper, PhD

Psychologist
2727 Bryant St, Ste 540, Denver, CO
Therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to give clients autonomy throughout our work together. You are the expert on your life, and I hope to build off the strengths you have and empower you as you navigate life's challenges. I am passionate about creating an environment where individuals of all backgrounds feel safe to share and express themselves openly as we work together. I aim to support you in your process of self-exploration and insight building, while providing skills you can utilize along the way. Starting therapy can feel scary, and I hope my clients and I can build an open and trusting therapeutic relationship to support the process-with a little humor along the way. In addition to talk therapy, I offer clients the opportunity to explore the therapeutic benefits of movement and dance. I discovered my love for dance as a teenager, and since then, dance has been an important part of my life both recreationally and therapeutically. Connecting with the body through movement and dance provides valuable insights that allow us to explore and heal in new ways. Incorporating movement and dance into therapy may not be for everyone, but if you are interested in exploring this modality, I would love to be your guide. I hold a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University, a Master's in Psychology from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas. I completed my clinical internship at the University of Colorado Boulder, which further enriched my training and experience in providing compassionate, client-centered care.
