Amy is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), Licensed Midwife (LM), and a certified Gyrotonic instructor. She provides the old-time family practice that you are looking for. As the owner of Art of Nursing Care Inc., which she started in 2006, she initially intended to open a home health care agency for pregnant women with complications. Since becoming licensed as a Midwife in 2009, she created a family-centered practice and has had one of the best midwifery practices in Los Angeles. She has a background in clinical homeopathy, herbal remedies, and essential oil applications. Our entire staff is highly skilled and provides the highest level of midwifery care to pregnant people during their childbirth experience. Your journey is our priority, and we support you to be empowered. Amy earned her FNP license in 2021 after completing her Master's in Family Nursing at West Coast University, and her midwifery license in 2009. She has worked with pregnant mothers and newborn babies in obstetrics since 1990. She has served as a Registered Nurse in clinics, hospital settings, and home health, mostly with women, babies, and pregnancy. During her work as a Nurse and Midwife, she has attended many thousands of childbirths both in and out of the hospital. She has also worked with clients planning hospital births as a Doula/Monitrice and childbirth educator. Her extensive experience in clinics, home health care for high-risk obstetrics, newborn care, and birth-related fields has given her a deep and profound understanding of many areas of medicine and different modalities to treat them. In addition to her hands-on experience, she has attended many different types of training that support the integration of care. Amy currently teaches Nursing and Midwifery students from a variety of programs, as well as other care providers, and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise in a collaborative way.
