She specializes in long-term treatment of adult disorders related to individuals, couples, and/or families. She is an expert in the management of character pathology, anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and multiple drug dependence. Her extensive clinical and research background has provided her with broad-based experience to support and treat her patients. A graduate of Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in Bronx, NY, Dr. Zimet also received a Masters of Arts in developmental psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College, New York, as well as a Master of Public Administration from the Graduate School of Public Administration of New York University in New York. Dr. Zimet served as senior psychologist in the Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse and as Coordinator of the Perinatal Recovery Program at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York, where she worked with formerly cocaine-addicted mothers and their infants.
