Ana Deeter, PA-C, is a licensed and board-certified physician assistant at Relief Mental Health in Northbrook and West Loop, Illinois. In addition to medication management, Ana provides SPRAVATO® (esketamine) treatment for adults experiencing treatment-resistant depression or major depressive disorder with suicidal thoughts or actions. She also connects patients with adjunctive services available at Relief—such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and therapy—or external resources when additional support is needed.
Before joining Relief, Ana served as a physician assistant at an outpatient mental health practice in San Antonio, Texas, where she conducted comprehensive evaluations, developed individualized treatment plans, provided patient education, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care. She also gained valuable clinical experience in mental health through correctional managed care and in primary care, enhancing her ability to take a whole-person approach to treatment.
Ana earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Medical Branch and her Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. Passionate about empowering patients, she strives to create a safe, supportive environment where they feel heard, understood, and encouraged in their journey toward mental wellness.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Patients’ initial medication management evaluation is a crucial step towards understanding and addressing their mental health needs and typically involves a thorough assessment of their medical and psychiatric history. I will provide information about potential treatment options, including psychiatric medications, and explain the benefits, potential side effects, and risks associated with each. This discussion aims to engage the patient in the decision-making process, ensuring they actively participate in their treatment plan.
Relief Mental Health is an outpatient provider of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), psychedelic therapy (SPRAVATO® and IV Ketamine), psychiatric medication management, and talk therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and other mental health diagnoses. While our expertise is broad, there are certain mental health conditions and diagnoses that fall outside our scope of practice. Your initial appointment will be considered an intake appointment and will not guarantee a continued patient-provider relationship
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first appointment will involve a review of personal history, including family dynamics, childhood experiences, relationships, and any significant life events as well as explore the reasons you sought services and the specific symptoms and challenges you are facing. Recommendations for care will be provided and together you’ll begin to develop a plan to achieve your goals and achieve symptom relief.

If this paperwork is not completed prior to your appointment, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete the required paperwork in-office

More information on payments and coverage
If we do not receive your insurance information at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, we will collect a $100.00 deposit at the time of service and verify benefits after your appointment has taken place. This deposit will be applied towards any out-of-pocket costs for services, including copays, coinsurances, deductibles, or the full cash rate if we are out-of-network or unable to verify your insurance benefits. Once benefits are verified, any outstanding balance will be charged to the credit card on file and any overpayment can be refunded or applied to future visits. Our providers’ profiles list which insurances they accept, but patients are still encouraged to contact their insurance company for specific coverage details. Most of our providers are in-network with a variety of commercial PPO policies and Medicare, but are out-of-network with commercial HMO policies, Medicaid and other government-funded health insurance providers.
